Managing Your Expectations
As you can tell from the glitchy start with how my articles delivered to you, everything has been overhauled at lifetime.org.
Except for the message. Lifetime’s ministry focus is the same today as it was in 1976 when the ministry began.
In Christ, we have life. Everything God couldn’t stand about us, He dispensed with through Christ’s death. Everything we need for life and godly living is ours through the resurrected Jesus Christ.
Paul put it succinctly while speaking in Athens: “In Him we live and move and exist” (Acts 17:28).
At lifetime.org, I will write to you with brief, focused vantage points about what’s true of you in Christ.
But when I write under the PHG logo at prestongillham.com you can expect more developed thoughts that speak to how we live, and move, and have our being as people who walk with Christ. I will take you into a thought, develop it, and leave you with a cogent takeaway.
If we live and move and exist in Him, then God is engaged in every aspect of life: family, work, hobbies; love, anger, disappointment, joy; society, politics, conflict, ethics, morality. You name it, if it affects you, God is present and accounted for.
So, how do we think about the issues of life in light of the new people we are in Christ? That’s what you’ll get when I write at PHG. You can explore the topics I’ve written about here.
As you can tell from the home page of prestongillham.com, the two sites are connected. In an effort to help you segment your expectations of me, I’m defining what I write with two logos: Lifetime and PHG.
You will hear from me a couple of times each week at lifetime.org. You will hear from me at PHG on occasion. In both places, I promise to give you my best thinking, clearest ideas, and perspectives that are as well thought out as I can muster at the time. I appreciate your trust. I will guard it.
